Fabulous Kitchens

Designing a minimalist kitchen in a holiday home can prove to be a challenging task. Architect Evelyn McNamara from Evelyn McNamara Architecture has achieved just this by designing a minimalist black kitchen which was TIDA’s  (Trends International Design Awards) 2016 award winner for its focus on texture and emphasis on dramatic depth.

The kitchen was built by Fabulous Kitchens who have been in business for over 10 years and chose to complete the project using Mirotone coatings.

The cabinetry fronts were made from stained strand board and the knee recess from black cedar. The Mirotone coatings used in the project were MIROSTAIN NGR 2001 Black Stain, followed by MIROTHANE PU 5588 Clear Satin Topcoat. The black bench tops were a black Corian solid surface.

The final result is a kitchen that is not only functional, but visually spectacular.
