| Separation of the coating in the can, in which the pigment or other dense insoluable materials accumulate and aggregate at the bottom. | |

| Use fresh coatings at all times. Ensure good stock rotation of products using oldest product first. | |
| In some instances settlement is unavoidable and in most cases the settlement will be a "soft" settle which is easily reincorporated back into the coating. | |
| Thoroughly stir Mirotone coatings prior to application preferably using a power stirrer. Alternatively use a 20mm wide stiring stick, using a lifting motion to bring the bottom contents of the can towards the top. If settlement does not reincorporate into the coating contact your Mirotone representative. | |
