Flotation
Separation of the pigment in the coating during drying, resulting in non-uniform colour.
Cause
Preventative Action
Coating is past it's shelf life.
Use fresh coating products at all times. Ensure good stock rotation of coating products, using the old stock before new stock. 
Applied coating is too thick.
Apply all Mirotone coatings to the correct Wet Film Thickness as specified on the relevant product data sheet.
Coating viscosity is too high or too low.
Apply all Mirotone coatings at the correct viscosity as per the instructions on the relevant product data sheet.
