| Caused by rapid drying of the lacquer and cooling of the substrate, resulting in moisture precipitating on or beneath the film. This results in a bloom or haze and is more prevalent in damp cool conditions where above average moisture is present in the atmosphere. | |
Ensure all MIROCAT PC lacquers are applied at above 10ºC ambient temperature and with humidity conditions less than 70%. Thin MIROCAT PC lacquers with a thinner blend containing not more than 10% MIROSOL 1297 Retarder in extremely hot or high humidity conditions. Warming with infra-red lamps will frequently cure blushing as will re-spraying the lacquer with a mist coat of very dilute MIROCAT PC lacquer (thinned 90% by volume with MIROSOL 1294 Thinners).
